Description

The Fiber Optic One-Push Cleaning Pen is great for quickly removing dirt, dust, oil and grease from optical fiber connectors and adapters. Our product will work with LC / MU or FC / SC / ST. There are two diffrent sizes 1.25mm that can clean LC or MU connectors and a 2.5mm version that can clean FC, SC or ST.  The pen is perfect when cleaning in a densly populated rack or difficult to reach enclosure. The clenaing pen works by having a micro fiber, lint free cleaning thread that runs up the body of the pen and at the tip a cleaning mechanism it will engage when pushed onto the connector or adapter. At this point the cleaning thread will be wrapped or rubbed around the cleaning area ensuring that all surfaces are wiped clean. The dirty thread is then retracted down back into the body. You can use each pen approximatly 500 clicks before you run out of cleaning thread and need a new pen. This pen does not require any cleaning solutions or liquids to operate.

Often a clean is needed if the tip of a fiber connector touches anything including your fingers. It is quite common to lose a significant ammount of dBs to dirt on a connector or within an adapter.
