Description
The basic toolkit includes a range of tools used when prepping fiber cable for splicing as well as testing. This toolkit can not be used to actually splice fiber, it is mearly the basic tools used when working with fiber.
The toolkit includes
- Fiber Optic Power Meter – FT-OPM11N
- (VFL) Visual Fault Locator – 5mW
- Fiber Optic Cleaver FC-6S
- CFS-2 Fiber Optic Stripper
- Drop Fiber Jacket Stripper (3mm)
- Alcohol Dispensing Pump Bottle
- Replacement VFL Ferrul
- Power Meter SC Adapter
- VFL Protective Case
- Carrying Case With Strap
These tools can be used for FTTH, FTTB, enterprise, mining, data center or security installations & maintenance. This is a great starting point for people wanting to work with fiber or support an existing installation.
All these tools will aid in fusion splicing or mechanical splicing, but can not be used only to splice or repair fiber cables.
